Fic!

Chapter three of my Clato fic is up. :)

I’m starting to feel really weird about posting this, since seemingly no one is up to giving me their opinion/criticize the fic, but here you guys go. I actually have a lot more written (and even more planned) so once I get around to editing it, I will be updating. :)

Brief summary: Panem sits once more riveted to their television screens watching the latest Hunger Games, the unexpected lovers Firegirl and Loverboy the clear favorites to win. Yet two new careers who have spent their lives in a love hate relationship are poised to change all that, Cato a eighteen year old career from District Two has spent his whole life training to reach this point. He has endured every challenge, every hardship to reach this; the pinnacle of his existence. It is within his grasp, he can feel it. He will stop at nothing to reach his singular goal; to be named to Victor of The Hunger Games. Clove will stop at nothing to snatch this victory from him and claim it for herself. Can the Capitol spin the games their way, or will Cato and Clove usher in a new set of rules? What happens when plots we manufacture are torn from our grip and we are forced to play by other people’s rules? Then again, in the Hunger Games are there any rules?

Hey everyone. :)

I wrote/am in the process of writing a new Clato fic! It’s a take on what would’ve happened if both Cato and Clove had been left standing atop the Cornucopia when the rules change. Going for ICness and taking things slow.

R & R will be treasured. <3 So please, review!

The Melo was done by me. I don’t care if you know who I am. I am pissed. I try to be pretty laid back and not get into all the drama that Aywas has boiling up lately. But this just makes me want to flip my shit. I shouldn’t need to ask people to not take my designs to other artists to…

Just FYI to everyone, she’s working on correcting the mistake herself. She feels horrible about it and is kicking herself for not checking the reference. I know art theft is against TOS, and it pisses me off too, but people make mistakes. However, she is legitimately trying to fix this.

Also, the person who commissioned her doesn’t have the pet in their lair yet. Contacting a mod could head this off at the pass.

I almost want to call BS. The person who made the arion has been to Gwen’s thread, I’m pretty sure, so how could she not have known? I saw her banner when I was going back through Gwen’s thread to see who bought the other pretty melos.

She also started displaying the arion after coming to my thread. I’m not buying it. But I will let the matter lie in the hands of the staff since I have reported it. I just needed to snort and stamp my feet somewhere offsite that drama is allowed. The rant forum can be rather limiting to what you can say about other users.

Given how other websites allow users to have similar/identical designs and this person is apparently a new player (I don’t know, I have no idea who they are, I’m going by what has been said here) then what do you want, a cookie? They are (again, according to what has been said above) trying to fix their ignorant mistake. Chill.

One of the best, if not THE best, Cato/Katniss Fics ever written.
If you have any inclination to read FF at all, THIS is the one to start with. Perfectly written with the everything you’d want from them and more. Promise you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve read through this. Am I the only one who sees how strangely out of character Cato is? The writing itself is amazing, I just can’t help but to stop every couple sentences and go like ‘Cato wouldn’t do that!’.

annie-wants-a-sugarcube:

So I’m looking for books to read that are sort of like the hunger games because it’s my birthday soon and I need to ask for some books to read!

I’ve heard good things about the Divergent trilogy and I am probably going to get it, but is there any other good books I should read?

If you can recommend a book or book series to me (aside from the hunger games trilogy) I will promo you!

I’ve read Divergent and although the first book is very good, I personally disliked its sequel, and depending on how the third one goes (which hasn’t been released it) I will have to scrap (or not) the trilogy from my favourites.

Other books? Try the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness (The books are called ‘The Knife of Never Letting Go’, ‘The Ask and the Answer’ and ‘Monster of Men’) they are quite amazing.

Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson is not bad, although it’s not exactly ‘great’ either, but a very decent, amusing read.

Other book I read recently, recommended by my sister and which I personally disliked (has to do with Werewolves/Shapeshifters) is Caged Moon by Rachel Deagan, she loved the book, so I figure other people (that are not me) might as well.

(I will reply again if I think of more).

PS: Because I’m dumb and missed the first sentence. What do you mean ‘LIKE’ the Hunger Games? A Dystopic Society shaken by the throes of war? Divergent is your best bet. The Chaos Walking trilogy is set in a dystopic ‘future’ but the others are not, not quite.
